I’m not a professional or expert - I am a full-time working mum who took up cake decorating
as a hobby so I could make cakes for my son who has a severe nut allergy and food intolerances.
There is a considerable amount of information on the web however, when starting out
I found it very time consuming trying to locate tips and techniques, what and where to buy
items and just general help because there is no single place to find all the information.
So my intention in establishing this website was to create a one stop informative site that
offers the beginner decorator all the tips, techniques and tutorial help they would need to
create beautiful cakes.
Don’t be intimated by picture-perfect Instagram photos or Pinterest boards. You don’t
need to master fondant or buttercream in order to create a spectacular cake. There is
no such thing as the perfect cake, remember professional cake decorators just know how
to camouflage or correct any mistakes they make. So do not be put off by a bumpy first
attempt. The most important thing is to have fun and be creative.
